There are certain medications that could decrease the effectiveness of Escapelle/Postinor.
So if you have used any of the following medicines in the last 4 weeks, Escapelle/Postinor may be less suitable for you.
- barbiturates and other medicines used to treat epilepsy (for example, primidone, phenytoin, carbamazepine);
- medicines used to treat tuberculosis (TB) (e.g. rifampicin, rifabutin);
- medicines to treat HIV (e.g. ritonavir, efavirenz);
- some antifungal preparations (griseofulvin);
- herbal preparations containing St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum).
